    ASSISTANT PROGRAM DIRECTOR PROFILE JOB SUMMARY
    This full-time position reports directly to the Program Director and is supervised by the Executive Director.
    Responsibilities include:

    • Working with the Program Director to communicate with, organize and lead multiple and various sized volunteer teams, including work groups.
    • Programming
    • Work with Program Director to oversee year round summer and after school activities for students.
    • Be present to help oversee the monthly food bank and paper product bank
    • Work with volunteer teams to prepare and serve meals/snacks weekly to students
    • Work with Program Director to provide guest speakers and activities
    • Work with Program Director to develop teams to lead enrichment classes
    • Correspond with Communicycle regarding their needs and be present once a month or more
    • Work with Program Director to oversee and be present on-site, as needed, for peer mentoring and adult programs
    • Work with Program Director to lead the student leadership team
    • Evaluate programming with students, adults/parents, volunteers (exit interviews, surveys, discussions….) in collaboration with the Program Director and Executive Director
    • Work with Program Director to plan and lead off-site educational trips and events that supplement curriculum for each age group
    • Work with Program Director and Executive Director to help ensure quality programming by meeting accreditation standards of APOST, NQMS, CCDA, etc.
    • Work with Program Director and classroom coordinators to develop curriculum to be used throughout the school year and for summer programming and camps
    • Work with Executive Director and Program Director to implement adult supports, such as classes, seminars, and events.
    • INTERNAL
      • Work with Program Director to create peer mentoring activities and curriculum
      • Work with Program Director to review & approve curriculum produced by classroom coordinators for K4-5 and 1st-3rd
      • Work with an advisory team & the Program Director to develop curriculum for 4th-7th grade, 8th-12th grade, summer programs & camps
    • Administrative functions
      • Work with Program Director to track receipts for all staff, interns, and volunteers to be submitted to the Treasurer on a monthly basis
      • Provide all necessary supplies per age group
    • Qualifications Experience: Experience in one or more settings: youth development organization, youth ministry, social work, education and/or childcare settings Education: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required
