Pittsburgh International Race Complex
Kick off your leadership journey with a dynamic and engaging introduction to the program. This orientation is held at The Pittsburgh International Race Complex and is designed to connect you with fellow participants, introduce key mentors and facilitators, and provide a clear roadmap of what to expect in the months ahead. Through an interactive driving experience, you’ll begin developing the skills, mindset, and network needed to grow as a confident and impactful leader. Let’s lead the way—together!

At the end of the program, we will celebrate the achievements, growth, and dedication of this our leadership program graduates. This special event marks the culmination of months of learning, collaboration, and transformation. Together, we’ll reflect on the journey, honor the milestones reached, and recognize the emerging leaders who are ready to make a meaningful impact in their communities and beyond.

Purpose and Mission
Leadership Beaver County is a cohort-based program, with a maximum of 20 participants, designed for existing and emerging leaders whose primary residence or professional work is in Beaver County. Each cohort meets from September through May, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, usually on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Sessions are held at various locations throughout Beaver County.
Outcomes for Cohort participants include:
- Better understanding of the major institutions within Beaver County, and their mission and activities, as represented by those who lead them.
- Recognition of the challenges and the outlook for growth and development of these institutions and other organizations within Beaver County.
- Increase in the capacity to lead effectively through the examination and application leadership concepts and best practices.
- Expanded opportunities to network with and establish relationships among participants and session presenters.
We accomplish this mission by organizing sessions around the following topics:

- Project LeadershipIn addition, participants work through the text, The LEADERS Model: Essential Practices for Today’s Leaders during various sessions.
