Our Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee has scheduled a day in Harrisburg on Tuesday, May 13 to reinforce Beaver County’s relationships with our legislative delegation and discuss the Chamber’s government affairs priorities with leaders in the executive and legislative branches of state government. You are encouraged to join in the meetings, currently scheduled as followed:
Morning – Travel
11:00 am: BCCC Members meet on the Capitol Steps for a group photo
11:15 am: Lunch meeting (Lunch provided by Tenaris), Senate Conference Room, Room 14 East Wing
Discuss mutual priorities with the Beaver County Delegation (Vogel, Bartolotta, Matzie, Kail, and Kozak have been invited to join lunch)
1:00 pm: Education, Acting Secretary of Education Dr. Carrie Rowe (tentative) and/or Legislative Committee Education Leadership
2:00 pm: Economic Development and Main Streets, Keystone Building, Executive Deputy Secretary Mike Hanna, DCED
3:00 pm: Broadband, Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority
4:00 pm: Energy and Electric Reliability, Senator Gene Yaw and Executive Director, Senate Environment and Energy Committee, Nick Troutman
5:30 – 7:30 pm: Hilton Hotel Bar – informal get-together
Attendees should RSVP by May 9, 2025, to John Mehalik at jmehalik@bcchamber.com so we can plan for lunch and can communicate final details of the day. If you would like to invite your company’s Harrisburg-based team members and/or contract lobbyists, please do so and encourage them to RSVP by the May 9th deadline. Note that travel, lodging, and any meals outside of the group lunch, are the responsibility of attendees.
