It is the most common cancer in the world. Here in the U.S. Black women are 40% more likely to die of breast cancer than white women. For women of all ethnicities -- poverty, lack of education, neighborhood disadvantage, lack of social support, and social isolation play an important role in breast cancer diagnosis -- and survival. There is help, and hope, available – regardless of insurance – but screening rates are down, even post-pandemic. How can patients, families, and healthcare provider effect positive change – and advance the search for a cure? Refreshments including light bites, wine, beer, soft drinks, & coffee will be served.
