News Release: Chamber President Announces Resignation
October 23, 2023Dear Chamber Members and Friends,
With mixed emotions, I am writing to let you know I have submitted my letter of resignation as President of the Beaver County Chamber of Commerce. This decision is prompted by my husband's acceptance of a position at the Nashville Rescue Mission, necessitating our relocation. It has been a distinct privilege and honor to serve the Chamber, and I extend my heartfelt gratitude for this opportunity. I am committed to assisting with a smooth transition and will continue to work full-time until November 10, 2023. My resignation comes with both sorrow and affection. I am immensely thankful for the opportunity my husband has been given, yet it saddens me to leave the Beaver County community. The warmth and kindness of Chamber members make this county a truly remarkable place to live and call home. Additionally, I have developed a deep affection for my role as President (which has been one of the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences in my career) - because of the exceptional individuals and businesses represented throughout the county and the incredible leadership of our diverse and dedicated board of directors. The dynamic and talented Chamber team has made each workday a pleasure as we collectively advanced our vital mission. We have contributed significantly to our community by offering programs, hosting events, advocating for our members, facilitating networking opportunities, forging connections, and fostering prosperity. I will greatly miss the wonderful people I have had the privilege to work alongside, and I want to express my deepest appreciation for the time we have spent together. It is because of the staff of the Chamber and the leadership of our Board of Directors that I can assure you there will be a smooth transition in my departure.
Our Board of Directors has formed a search committee, made up of members of our Executive Committee and Personnel Committee, to begin the search for a new President of the Chamber. Information on the job will be posted soon. In the interim, if you have questions on one of our upcoming events, please reach out to Molly or Peggy on our Chamber staff. If you have any questions regarding the transition, ideas for the future structure of the Chamber, or leads on someone you might think would be interested in the position – I kindly ask that you email Lindsay Courteau, Chair of our Board of Directors at lcourteau@bcchamber.com.
Please feel free to reach out to me directly if you would like to talk more. Thank you for everything.
Warmly,
Donna Lee Siple
